I saw a very small part of an interview online with Jamie Lee Curtis who was talking about turning 60 and how it made her reflect. She pretty much said that she still had so much left to give in life and it acted as a kick up the backside as she asked herself “if not now, when?” She then went on to achieve various things on the back of this.
The question really made me think as often we may feel like it’s not the time to try to lose weight because of XYZ, but as JLC said, if not now, when? Life is full of things that will knock us back, there will never be a “good time” so we have to do this now.
Hope this helps someone as it helped me.

Loving this as with me it doesn't just apply to weight .
I have been making feeble attempts to get rid of junk and decorate the whole house before selling up and moving to the coast . Can't pretend it is to downsize but to have a change from the same old walks , can ride my bike safely along coastal paths - not much fun by side of a by pass where faster cyclists almost knock you sideways . I make excuses so - hey 2023 = me .
Off to see my son in New York during Xmas and New Year . No decorations in house , no Xmas meal to shop for and cook so won't return exhausted .
I would love to get the impetus to declutter too. I know it would make me feel free, but................ Have a lovely relaxing Christmas with your son.
