I’m struggling to remember to do weekly weigh ins, so thought I’d post a wee update. I didn’t start C25K yet - still not confident enough. However, after cancelling my gym induction several times I finally went last week. I’ve actually stuck to a routine with going so far as well!
I’m struggling a bit calorie wise, as NC app doesn’t give an option to change the day start time and I’m my night duty rotation. I try and eat after midnight but it’s not always an option!
My numbers are good though, I’m proud of myself losing 1 stone 5 so far!
Well done for keeping up with the gym and for the weight that you've lost so far.
Just a couple of tips that may help:
Why not set an alarm on your phone for a time every Thursday, that you'll be able to weigh in with us? You can always weigh yourself in the morning, but log on when it's most convenient for you.
Apps are supposed to make life easier, not more complicated, so rather than stressing about the number of calories you're consuming in a 24 hour period, why not average it out over the week? If you stick to 3 meals a day (your day), no snacks and healthy food, I'm sure everything will be fine
Don't worry about starting the C25K yet. Running can be hard on the joints, so waiting until you've lost more weight will make it easier and more enjoyable. I waited until I'd lost almost 6 stone before starting.
If you are ok with walking you can start c25k just by doing that, walking, until you are able to run (and by that time the “fear” of it will have disappeared). I am not able to run anymore but for a change I walk c25k, so after the warm up I faster walk the run sections and slow down until the next walking faster section. You can even do it this way on the treadmill at the gym.
