Hi WannaLose1434 and welcome to the Weight Loss Support forum,
Well done on being so near to your target weight!
As you hint in your bio, staying at your target is sometimes difficult.
One of the groups that you might particularly benefit from is the Maintainers Club, which is hosted on monthly rotation, by people who have reached their target. that, and all our groups can be found in pinned posts, which I've linked here healthunlocked.com/weight-l...
Have a look around and please join in, it's what makes all the difference.
Best of luck.
Mine is mixed . Initially had no trouble getting to 62kg . A real blast at Xmas and now maintaining at 66 but want 62. Waiting since last Sept for Gall bladder removal. Does anyone know whether this hinders weight loss ?
Hi focused1
I had a minor surgery under general anesthesia in 2019. I took only one day in day care. As I was mobile few hours after that so I kept sitting but my family reminded me that I needed rest and that I should take Ponstan Forte not just for pain but also because it decreases inflammation. After taking heavy prescribed dosage of that I went in deep sleep and couldn't wake up myself to take the next medicines on time. Many thanks to my lovely sis for waking me up and taking care.
At the time of surgery I was also admirable slim and was advised to increase my food intake. I stared eating more and drinking commercially available 100% fruit juice about 450 ml/day without looking at my waist in mirror and frequent weighing which I previously used to do to check myself. Finally, I became over weight by I guess 2020. Then again I had to start dieting and exercising. Now I am on weight maintenance.
I made a list of all my concerns and asked both the surgeon and anesthesiologist. Can I climb stairs right after surgery? When should I start strenuous exercises etc. You should too.
Thanks for this . I was in hospital for 9 days with jaundice and trapped gall stones . I had a procedure to remove stones but told I needed surgery. Advised it was to be done the following day / cancelled then sent home on emergency list . That was Oct 2021 and still waiting . I feel sluggish and lack energy but force myself to walk miles . Many on the ward I was in just lay in bed clothes all day . I got told off initially for having a shower ! I got dressed daily and when visitors came I walked off the ward with them to stretch my legs . Painkillers were given like sweeties and staff seemed annoyed at my refusal .
I feel for you. My daughter had gallstones many years ago and the pain was excruciating. I remember feeling so helpless as she curled up in agony. She did have surgery eventually. If you are experiencing anything like that I simply don’t know how you are enduring it.💕
