All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/weight-l... and we hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.
We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.
This tells me the next thing you try should not be a diet, but a way of life that you can maintain. Skipping meals is not such a bad thing, as it's made out to be. Of course, this counts only if you really don't eat anything many people benefit a lot from intermittent fasting, myself included. All the things I tried before were based on various statements what I should be doing. Things like making sure to eat breakfast, making sure not to eat too much, making sure not to skip meals - all of those turned out to be counterproductive for me. Wishing you luck in finding what sustainable changes work for you!
Hello Beatrix and nice to meet you. I see you have a fatty liver. I have just been diagnosed with this and it’s an alarming wake up call for me. I am trying very hard to lose weight through diet and exercise. I see you try to lose weight by missing meals. This doesn’t work for me because I get really hungry and raid the cupboard for a ‘quick fix’ - chocolate biscuits which my husband insists on buying! I joined this group several years ago and got down to my ideal weight so stopped ‘visiting’. The ‘quick fixes’ soon became a regular part of my diet and the weight piled on again. So, here I am, struggling to get rid of the damage those quick fixes caused! Good luck!
Like you,it was a wake up call. Not getting any younger and need to put all my efforts into this.
I’m just so used to missing meals out, subconsciously thinking if I don’t eat I can’t put on weight, but obviously that’s not the right thing to do.
When I’ve eaten a substantial amount of food per day I’ve always lost weight.
I think it stems back to when I was a child and a dr said to me that I stuffed my face, when in fact I ate the same as my four siblings and I was the only one overweight .
