I have a few things for you to look at and if you follow the theme, you'll find that a change in what you eat, rather than how much you eat, could help all of your medical conditions and possibly enable you, with your doctor's guidance, to reduce the number of medications you're currently taking.
As a reminder, all of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/weight-l... we hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.
We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.
Being overweight is just another symptom that your diet is out of balance as is the pre diabetes and probably your osteo arthritis. Concentrate on the pre diabetes (which you can do in three weeks with the right changes in the diet) and the other two will resolve themselves in time, and flabby loose skin will tighten within a year or two. Try The Pioppi Diet.
Thank you for your reply.have checked out your recommendation.it is very much the way my diet is normally.mostly chicken, turkey breast. And fish.salads some eggs.and natural oats for breakfast.to keep cholesterol down.family history of diabetes type 2 may have some bearing on my present diagnosis.will try incorporating some of this diet since there is everything to gain in preventing diabetes .x
A family history of type 2 diabetes because of a family tradition of bad diets. My aunt had type2 then my dad (plus prostrate cancer) then my brother, and I can't get my mum to accept that sugar and refined carbs caused it all.
I am truly guessing that this is same kind of history as in mine.I have been very diet conscious for at least 40 years and am not a chocoholic or steak mad .do not like taste of wine.Have removed alcohol and bread and weetabix since receiving letter.changed to jumbo oats.every day.already only consumed o% or low fat yoghurts or cottage cheese .from brief look at your recommendation I guess I am on right track but need to study further diet tweaks .half stone is really not a lot to lose .it’s definitely the exercise thing that needs building back up too.hope you are keeping fit too
You do not have to worry about fat as your body will not absorb it when you've reached the limit and you'll notice that you're excreting it. Worry about the carbs which raise your blood sugar and get turned into body fat by your liver.
