How has your week been? Have you enjoyed the weather and managed to get out for some more exercise? Even if it was for some local strolls in nearby streets or parks.
The encouragement this week comes in the form of lyrics by Peter Gabriel, and sung by Peter and one of my all-time favourite singers, Kate Bush. I am only allowed to play her when the house is empty though. For some reason my mother, father, four sisters, and now even wife and daughter cannot stand her music. I am so blessed that I have headphones; I can keep her singing sweet melodies in my head. Kate and I will share a secret romance just in my head. One that no-one else will know about, not even Kate! 😊
My memorable thing that has happened this week is I broke the next major milestone on my trip down in weight. I went below 13 stone (82.6 kilos) for the first time in over ten years; I am now 12 stone 13 pounds (82.1 kilos). One more stone to go.
Now for the song:
In this proud land we grew up strong
We were wanted all along
I was taught to fight, taught to win
I never thought I could fail
No fight left or so it seems
I am a man whose dreams have all deserted
I've changed my face, I've changed my name
But no one wants you when you lose
Don't give up
'cause you have friends
Don't give up
You're not beaten yet
Don't give up
I know you can make it good
