In January 2019, i started a 12 week free referral at Slimming World, i weighed in at 13st 8lbs. By Easter I weighed 12st, for my wedding on Yorkshire Day 1st August, I weighed 11st 4lbs. I kept to target until Valentines Day this year at 11st 7lbs. Then lockdown struck, working from home, no gym in my lunchtime. I then got furloughed and my mental health took a battering as i have always loved going to work. On the 13th October, I braved the scales and saw the number was 12st 13lbs. I tried not to get angry as everyone has had their demons this year. I tried Slimming World on line but without the meeting weigh ins, i only lost 2lbs in a month. This monday 16/11/2020 i started slimfast plan and so far ive lost 1lb. Going to stick with it as 1300 cals is ok for me until the gym reopens. I am now 12st 10lbs and want to get back to my Slimming World target.

Hi and welcome, RockChick1969 :)I have to admit to not being a lover of meal replacements, as they're full of additives and don't teach anything about healthy eating. Any weight loss is often followed by rapid regain. My preference is for real food and maybe this could be an alternative for you healthunlocked.com/api/redi...

I don't like cooking, so with being out all day at work, I find this structure ok for me. I'll give it at least 6 weeks to fully see how I get on

Welcome RockChick :)Well done for trying to focus your annoyance in a positive way.

I think you'll find that you can get your meeting 'hit' (so to speak) here, as you can chat with others all the time, over pretty much any subject. It's the continuous support here that keeps me going.

As moreless has mentioned, participation tends to be key so maybe, for starters, think about joining in with the Daily Diaries. Here's a link for today's one... healthunlocked.com/weight-l...

Well done on joining this forum and making a start on reducing the scales number.I have lost and gained the same weight as you on several occasions and tried all types of diets.

I agree with Moreless and all on here ,but I fully undetstand your challenges.

Hi, I have a replacement bar for breakfast, a 600 cals meal for dinner and a replacement shake or choc bar for tea. I can have 3 x 100 cals snacks throughout the day. Or if you prefer stick to a 1300/1400 cal plan for at least 5 days per week. At least 30 mins exercise per day on average.
