FAT BOMBS
Here's one, Worcsgal, but there's dozens more online healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
Thanks, I've tried a few - have you tried one that you'd recommend?
Honestly, I've never found the need for them. I just make sure my meals contain enough fat to satiate my appetite and don't snack at all.
Oh my word....what a brilliant answer, I hope to get to this point. Do you eat any carbs at all? I've just started on LCHF and so far have avoided Bread, Potatoes, Rice, Pasta (which I didn't eat much anyway) but I do have a few crackers at times - mainly Matzos & Corn Cakes (Corn version of Rice Cakes)
The vast majority of my carbs come from vegetables, I do have the odd oatcake and an occasional piece of fruit that isn't berries.
I believe both your choices of cracker are high carb, in fact, higher than white bread.
I'm with moreless about rice and corn cakes, any kind of puffed grain is more likely to cause a blood sugar spike than whole grains because the puffing process greatly increases the glycemic index, i.e. the rate at which your body turns the food into sugar in your blood, and avoiding that is the whole point of lchf. These rice and corn cakes are not the dieter's friend though they are so promoted as "low fat"! Oatcakes are better imo.
Can you guys tell me what an oatcake is? Do you make them? When I'm really following my lchf I don't do any oats (or any grain) ... just make crackers from almond flour and I like them. Just need to keep them made up!
These are typical oatcakes. tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/p... Not low carb but, like anything else, they can be included occasionally as part of an overall low carb plan
