Almost 7 months to the day since I first joined. In that time I've completely lost my dieting mojo to the point I think I've forgotten how! Think I'm a stone heavier than when I first started. I've gone up a dress size so there's a lot of clothes in my wardrobe that can't be worn π To top it off I've picked up a really nasty shoulder injury which means I have to miss my favourite body pump class. Not a happy YorkshirePud!
After many weeks of denial, expecting to wake up 3 stone lighter, reality has struck & I know I have to do this myself. Nobody else can do it for me. I have a figure in my head of 55lbs to lose. A pound a week would be fab. So that's it. Onwards & hopefully downwards. Hoping I can rediscover my mojo & willpower & be a lighter pud rather than the heavy doughy pud I am now.
Roll on next week! xxx

It's great that you've posted today, as I can see that you've had some challenges to contend with over the last few months. You lost your mojo, and that can be hard to come back from sometimes, but you're back - you're here, and you've got your goal in mind - and you're hoping to lose a pound a week from here on out.
You've probably already seen the Welcome Newbie post, but it can be motivating to read - so worth a look to refresh you of what's around in the forum, and there are plenty of Challenges in the Pinned posts area.
The Monday group weigh-in is going on today, the Morning session is going well so far, and if you wanted to pop in - you'd be very welcome. An option to consider.
Whatever you do, I would like to wish you success. The NHS 12 week plan is really good - so I'd recommend looking at that as well, as many of us use that plan and have found it very successful.
Have a great week, and I hope your shoulder injury gets better really soon. Do be careful and ensure you let it heal up properly - you'll be back to your Body Pump class eventually, but don't rush back before you're ready.
Thank you Lowcal. I've had a busy day today (which can only be a good thing) so not had chance to look at the Newbie post but I will definitely have a look. I've joined the winter challenge though π
Good luck to you Yorkshirepud. Try, try and try again, that's what I say; it worked for me this time but I have had many false starts along the way. Before you know it you will have to change your name from Yorkshirepud to lettuce (although if I'm honest, I know which I would prefer to eat! x
I'm sorry to hear you're having such tough time lately. That shoulder injury can't be helping at all.
I think we've all the ostrich syndrome at some time or other and I'm impressed that you've managed to get your head back out of the sand (as it were!).
Sometimes you have to be in the right place to do a diet justice. I spent nearly 9 months trying to lose weight while also trying to study 4 Uni Modules and complete a 15000 word dissertation. Guess which won? Yep the dissertation - because work were paying for it and I was on a deadline.
I couldn't think about meal planning and an hour preparing dinner was an hour lost to my studies. Like you I've gone up a dress size and all my lovely clothes are packed away waiting for skinny me to emerge!
Now I don't have to think about that Uni work any more.
I've got 80lb to lose, and now I've got my mojo back I can do this. I've also managed to get my husband on board, so much easier with a partner in crime! You can do this too. X
Thank you SportyGirl75. Wow, all that Uni work sounds like a challenge. Hope it went well. Good luck with the weight loss. We'll be unpacking our respective skinny wardrobes before we know it! π
Glad you have found your mojo π I had a similar target, 3 stone in a year, and I'm almost there π Follow a generous plan so you don't feel deprived and then you can enjoy the process π
Have you asked to see a Physio about your shoulder?? Or look online at the Physio website fur suggested exercises π
