Just making my lunch chicken, potatoe and sweet corn soup from the smart recipe app. I’m so hungry need to be strict on myself not to eat more than a quarter of it! ... I wonder if it’s ok to have a slice of bread with it 🤔. Hope your all having a good week

I wouldn't have bread with potato and corn soup. They are both quite high in carbs, so you don't need to accompany it with more carbs.

I'd stir in some cream. Fat is satiating. Or drop an egg in, to either poach in the soup or lightly beat it first, then pour into the simmering soup in a stream while gently stirring to create egg flower soup.

Or have a piece of cheese.

Thanks I didn’t have it, there is milk in the soup so I figured I’d eat it and see how I felt, actually feel full but still feel like I’m craving sugar/ carbs or something. I had pineapple after. I think my brain and body signalling hunger is confused, or I’ve just gotten used to over eating until I’m stuffed 🤔

I often finish a mesl feeling unsatisfied but have realised it’s just habit. If I distract myself it often goes away. Or have a cup of coffee.

As Subtle_Badger has said, be careful of carbohydrates and fruit, they are notorious for leading to further cravings
