I mentioned in my diary this morning that I was going to start the strength & flex exercises and a few people asked to let them know how I got on. Well I did the first of five stages this morning -week 1 - to be repeated twice more before moving on to week 2, and it was ok. (Note: I was moderately active before lockdown, but been a lazy bum since.) However, I think it is designed to be done in a park as it requires a tree, railings and a bench and a lot of running which I was able to substitute with a wall, verandah railing, couch and running on the spot. Though I’ve not done the C25K run, I think these exercises would fit in nicely before or after it. One exercise I couldn’t do, but I’ll work on it and I was really pleased when the shoulder ones were completed.
So all in all, looking forward to Friday when I will repeat again at home. But I really must get out to a park.
PS can anyone recommend some good but affordable running shoes pls. 🙏🏻 C25K is on my horizon. I keep threatening myself with it and have just managed to persuade my daughter’s to do it with me
