I had bok choy/pak choy for the first time a few months ago and instantly fell in love. It has quite a distinct, slightly mustardy flavour π₯¬ (umhhh yum!)
I haven't ever tried to cook it before as I found it too intimidating - (how do you even cook that or what would I even put with it??). But Yum.
With not much else to do I went on the hunt for a recipe and came across this youtu.be/WdhRlZr4FoE
It's incredibly easy to cook and delicious. I want to add this as a regular part of my diet - I think I'll try it as an alternative to celery sticks with houmous and maybe try it in a soup towards winter π€·πΌββοΈπ
I heard twice now just how under-rated this vegetable is but highly recommend it.
If you'd like to know a little bit more about bok choy, here's a links to different ways to cook bok choy and to the different health benefits of it.
Can it be chucked into pretty much any type of curry or stir fry? I didn't think of that but that would make it much easier to incorporate. Thanks π
A lifetime ago, there used to be a Vietnamese man at he local market. All he sold were greens, but dozens of varieties. I used to buy a different one each week, and never knew what they were.
We'd just cook it like spinach or chard or cabbage. Eg added to a curry, steamed, stir fried in soy with garlic, ginger and chilli. It was always delicious and the variety was nice.
I love the Salmon and chicken idea's have done both I happen to favor the most a Shrimp Stir Fry with some fish sauce and lemon, garlic, Srarahcia Chili Sauce(Rooster Sauce)spicy.
