I'm 24 now, but even thoughout my teens I was never much of a drinker. The odd here and there on special occasions.
I decided back in March to go teetotal, and completely abstain from alcohol.
Now I'm not suggesting that's for everyone, but alcohol can contain a lot of calories - and the mixers can be packed with sugar.
Have a think about your habits when it comes to alcohol, maybe there's something you can adjust or cut down on. Like food, it should be enjoyed in moderation.

To be honest, I never counted alcohol calories and my mixers were always the diet or slimline version. I still managed to lose 5 stone with no problem and stayed on track each week with 1lb weightloss. Not sure how or why but alcohol didn't seem to affect my calorie intake regarding losing weight.
Unfortunately not everyone is the same. But spirits with slimline mixers are far less calorific than beers and cocktails so choosing the diet and slimline versions was definitely a good move!
