I need real support, because I’ve gained so much weight last year. It’s harder everytime and I don’t feel good in my own skin. I don’t even want people to see me at the gym.

Can’t stop
Hi Sofi and welcome
I can sense the concern you're feeling.... and the good news, is that you've now come to a safe place. A place where you can take a deep breath, take stock of what needs to be done and work out a way forward.
An administrator will reply shortly with information on how best to get the most from this forum but in the meantime, I would suggest joining in with one of the Weekly Weighi-ins and with the Daily Diary. Engaging in both of these will help you stay focused day to day and week to week but will also be places where you can learn about the paths that others are following.
So... join in, maintain an open mind to change (if necessary) and don't forget to enjoy yourself
Hi and welcome, Sofi_20
Maybe this could help you healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...
All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and I hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.
We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.
Wishing you all the best
We all start somewhere . My first few visits to the gym I did feel all eyes were on me but all shapes and sizes are there . Join a class . I have now aquired 2 very understanding true friends from my class . We bounce off each other and attend because of each other . This forum is full of people like you and me but I only gained that confidence through weight loss and the confidence for me is insane . Last year I changed jobs ..I would have never attended an interview or filled in the application . I would have never bought clothes I didn't feel I had to hide in - the long T shirt, the boyfriend jeans , the oversize jumpers but now I wear totally different gear.
You will feel different - not overnight but you get more in charge of yourself .
There is loads of advice about eating on here and brilliant support . If you do go off track a few times a week has 7 days .
Thank you!! It’s good to read that I’m not alone and everyday its a good start point. I have to change my life habits before it goes out of control, im turning 28 in a few days, new goals on my future ♥️
I am 59 but couldn't go on like I was . My knee pain has gone . Simply climbing stairs and how my limbs move freer . I lost 18kg but it started to show a lot sooner than that . Not lost overnight as first few kg are the easiest but I made a shopping list and stuck to it . I saved money which I put away for new clothes , holidays . My whole life has changed . When you get into routine - bit like starting new job .
Hi Sofi_20 we have to start somewhere, the confidence gains from trying something have been immense for me. By last Nov I was 6 stone overweight and too ashamed to get back in the swimming pool or join a class. I finally started doing light weights and gentle walking during the very quiet times in the gym : other changes came later. I hope you join a weighing in group and find other ways this site helps. Best of luck
