Anyone else get too hungry even on their max cal allowance?
I wake up in the middle of the night too hungry to sleep! And can get so hungry during the day I can't think straight.
I am eating decently with a good mix of protein /carbs / fruit etc , 2 squares of choc a day is my treat . No sugar in tea or other sugary drinks. Walk 40 mins a day. Doesn't make sense.

It's hard to say without knowing more about what you're eating but if you've taken your calorie range from the NHS BMI calculator and are eating towards the top of that range, then it probably comes down to your food choices. You certainly can't continue like that. Being hungry is a major reason why people can't stick with their plan.
If you join our Daily Diary, where members log their meal plans, and give an idea of what you're planning for tomorrow, you'll get some helpful comments. I also recommend joining a weekly weigh in on the day of your choice. You'll find them both in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... , along with a Welcome message and all our other activities.
I've largely eliminated hunger by cutting out 'low fat' and 'diet' foods, significantly cutting back on carbs, fruit (max 1 piece a day) and sugar and eating more veggies and portion controlled protein. i.e. the LCHF (Low-Carb High-Fat) methodology.
Clearly there are different nutritional approaches, but if hunger is the issue, it may bear checking out further.
I found initially that I was hungry most of the time but I put that down to the fact that I went from eating supersize portions to normal portions. Once my stomach got used to the new portion sizes I stopped feeling hungry. I never woke up in the night hungry but sometimes went to bed feeling hungry.
I suppose it could be down to what you are eating but I don’t know much about that.
Good luck with your weightloss and hope you sort the hunger out.
Or try one of the night time teas to fill you up and soothe you back to sleep (hopefully!)
Refined carbs and sugar, including hidden ones in diet foods, fruit and low fat dairy, will make you hungry. It’s do to with insulin & blood sugar. To stop this, cut back on carbs & use your calories to eat full fat dairy including cheese, also beef and pork. A little will go a long way to fill you up. If you are hungry you are hungry. It’s good to be sure you aren’t in fact thirsty by drinking water / tea, but your body isn’t stupid and hunger is a very powerful feeling that we can’t distract ourselves from for long.
