Over the last few days I have eaten far less healthily than I normally do. Not wholesale unhealthy, but a packet of crisps here, a biscuit there and it suddenly hit me that it's probably because this week has been a very long week, with a huge marking load keeping me up until sometimes 1am, walking 5miles at 9.30pm after watching Leicester City, plus a lot of other stuff, have all left me vulnerable to my cravings and the lure of easy, fat filled and carb rich junk. So though I'd look up and talk about over-tiredness and lack of sleep and the damage it can do to you. It seems there are some very real dangers to a lack of shut-eye!
Tiredness is definitely one of the enemies and with busy lives, not always easy to deal with. Good luck with getting enough sleep.
I don't know what your eating patterns are like but are you sure you're eating enough. I'd try and reduce the carbs you have (especially in the evening) and though your post suggests that you're not a fan of fat, it can be your friend and help us feel more sated for longer (the opposite of carbs).
Over tiredness can be a problem if your tired your body craves all the wrong things to give us a energy boost. Hope you manage to catch up on some sleep
