I joined a while ! Unable to stay focused with diet plan and excercise ! Last two years had a lot to cope with my mental health and my health was impacted by all of this ! It was like downward spiral my immune system was low started to catch all bugs and infections! I thought had to make a change ! I found transformation coach to help my mindset and researched how can build my immune system naturally ! Now take essential vitamins and minerals and take fresh turmeric ginger and coconut milk and cinnamon to fight inflammation since last November feel slot better and stronger and mindful ness is stronger too also regularly do affirmations meditation and gratitude list and make sure have self love ๐Ÿ’“ Now want to improve my fitness and increase my health more by taking control rejoining with this fitness forum but first going to print off the 12 weekly programme can plan anc schedule daily diary and weight in days and thinking to join 5k Couch run too but going to this slowly I know have started few times want do this , this time ! I have got this !

Hi, energy1 ...

If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.

Some of us here find that what works, to lose weight, reduce inflammation and boost your immune system, is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:

Newbies IF FAQ:

The Fasting and Furious Forum, here on Health Unlocked:

If you use the IF/LCHF combination weight loss is not hard work or difficult - and you do not even have to count calories!

Welcome back energy :)

You've already travelled a difficult path and done really well for yourself.

You're following the NHS 12 week plan so please make sure that you acquire the right calorie range designed specifically for you. You will find this by running the NHS BMI calculator... nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-we...

You will lose weight even at the top end of that range and as many people fail because they get hungry, then why not make your journey a pleasant one and eat towards the upper end of the range.

Best of luck!

I stay on track by not making it a chore . I shop knowing that if I don't buy it - biscuits / crisps etc then I can't eat it . My worst time for feeling hungry is about 8pm so I sip a low cal soup or hot choc drink or go to later exercise classes like Zumba then shower at home as I get in so I don't wander into the kitchen .

Thank you for sharing your positive post! You found very determined and it proves we can all get back up!

I went through a difficult patch and put everyone first but myself., so my mental and physical health suffered and really was no use to anyone. I put everything on hold and concentrated how to look after myself and everything has improved. Family life, work itโ€™s just so important self love.

Wish you well on your journey x
