Looking for ways to exercise

Hello everyone . I’m 31 and I’m postponing my diet for the last 15 years . Unfortunately it’s always from tomorrow for me and that never worked . Now I have a small problem with my liver and I need to loose weight and I feel so anxious and worried if I can do it right . But even most of all is stressing me the fact that I have never exercised in my life . I think I tried yoga once and I fainted . Can you please advise me what should I do to become more active but have in mind I can not go to gym because I have a 6 months baby and a toddler and I can not leave them ❤️ I’m looking forward to hear some advise

Hi and welcome, Marizah88 :)

You haven't said what the problem with your liver is, but if it's Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease, then I think you'll find these useful for you phcuk.org/wp-content/upload...

Please don't concern yourself too much with exercise at this stage, it's far more important to get your intake correct. I'm sure you do plenty of running around after your little ones, but going out for walks together would be perfect.

As your baby is very young and it's possible you're still nursing, my advice would be to stick to homemade meals, prepared with fresh food, avoid processed foods and anything labelled, low fat/diet/healthy.

All of the information you need about the forum can be found in Pinned Posts healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and I hope you'll be joining all the Events, Challenges and Clubs that we run, especially a weigh-in and the daily diary.

We've found active participation to be key to successful weight loss and, of course, it's a good way to get to know people, find inspiration and share support and encouragement.

Wishing you all the best for 2020 :)

Why don't you try walking, the whole family can go with you :-)

Actually there’s loads of new research to show that sugar is the killer that makes us tubby not fat. Keep the butter & cheese but ditch every scrap of sugar, bread, white rice & potatoes. There’s lots on this way if eating - low carb high fat, LCHF - on health unlocked.,

If you’re indoors I suggesting looking at some YouTube videos for exercise. I love Lucy Wyndham-Read she has videos for everyone I particularly enjoy the 7mins one.

Good luck 🍀

With two small children I doubt that lack of exercise is an issue! I doubt you sit down very much 😊

If you feel like you want to, then walking is one of the best things to do. Not easy unless you have a Double buggy but playing outside with your toddler on a dry day is good too 😊

Remember, any movement counts!

Walking sounds so nice . My only concern is it’s raining permanently here 😂 but I will definitely do it . I’m trying daily to go take my toddler from school a bit earlier so I can walk arround first with the stroller .

That’s an excellent idea! Just an extra 5 minutes will help 😊. I’m sure you have umpteen trips up and down stairs at home that will help too. I sometimes used to just put loud music on and dance around the sitting room with the children, great fun!

Have you had chance to look at the video moreless gave you? It's only about 12 minutes and could put you on a good path. Remember, it's what you eat that will make the difference 🙂

Walk. Walking is really good for you, and will give you quality time with your kids. I love cycling, but wouldn't advise it until you find out why you fainted, also it's quite expensive to set up a bike to wrangle 2 kids.

The very best exercise is the exercise you will do.

If you are new to exercise I think I would suggest starting with walking. No almighty hike, but 4000 steps a day & build up gradually from there. It’s surprising how for people can get walking about. Most smart phones will measure steps & it’s quite jolly watching them rack up as we tootle round the supermarket etc.
