Hey, so I am full of excuses for my weight, but the reality has set, I am not getting any younger and would like to find a man and have a family. However before that I would like to reach my healthy BMI, I have almost 8 stone to loose.
I have tried WW and Slimmers world, and yes they work; but I do not want to spend all day counting points, I do not have the time. Furthermore slimmers world gave amazing fast results, however I simply ran out of vegetarian ideas. And these groups cost money I do not have.
So I figure my starting point is, any veggie healthy eating menu's, or snacks anyone can advise me please???

Hi. 8 stone in 18 months is definitely doable. I wish you luck! You don't need to be slim to find a man tho - I have never had any problem (don't tell my husband - lol)
Hi, thank you I am not expecting slim, the stretch marks and big bum, will be with me forever, but I would like to be in the healthy BMI zone, to see what I should look like and have the confidence with a man. I wish I had your confidence
HOW DID YOU MANAGE THAT?I WISH YOU WOULD GIVE ME YOUR SECRET I SEEM TO HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING(WITHOUT ANY LUCK)PLEASE CAN YOU GIVE ME A CLUE AS TO HOW AND WHERE TO START
Take a look at the Pinned posts section to the right of your screen (bottom if you're using a mobile), read the Welcome Newbie thread, then move through to the challenges, where we hope you'll find at least one that will appeal to you
Move down to the Topics, to find a variety of threads, collated into specific topics for ease of access and we ask that you also 'file' your own threads, so that others won't miss your important news
Take a look at the 12 week plan, as a lot of people have been successful with it, making sure to enter your details into the BMI calculator, to get a calorie allowance tailored to your personal requirements. Don't forget to take your starting measurements and a 'before' picture, as they can be very motivating on days that the scales refuse to co-operate
We run daily weigh-in's and you'd be very welcome to join us. The threads can always be found in the Events section, to the right of the home page, bottom on a mobile.

It's only left for me to wish you well on your journey
Good for you!! .. I just want to wish you well on your journey to losing 8 stone.
Hi,
We're in a very similar boat I think! I am engaged but am also looking to lose 7-8 stone in 18 months before we try for a baby. Will be good to see how we both get on.
For veggie recipes, pick your vegetable - say an Aubergine, and google "recipes using Aubergine" and you will find lots of sites. I favour the BBC recipes. Weigh ingredients and use a calorie counting app to keep track of the calories. Good luck!
Hi bmi mummy.
i have just joined health unlocked and this is one of the community's i have joined so hi to all, I agree with the other replies, that people should like others for who they are and that includes health condition or excess weight.
I few years ago i weighed over 300lbs,( i use pounds and Oz as i find it easier to follow so sorry if it confuses everyone's figure's)
I got myself a pedometer and started walking, i suffer from IBS-D which i had to adapt my diet, and ended up with half a low fod map diet, i cook my own food where i can from scratch so i know what's in it, and avoid the things like bread, and i have the lowest calorie items if i get things from the supermarket. But i don't sit there and count calories,
My last weight was 193lbs, so it is possible to achieve what you set out to do, yes my weight fluctuates and if it starts to go up i adjust what i had before,
I have just tried to join a gym, which is hard as i have low confidence due to my epileptic past, but i have dug my heels in and trying to use their machines to try and avoid excess skin such is my main concern. As i was so big for loads of years, but that worry goes when people who see me now too then do a double take and hardly recognise me, that's the nice reward, hang in there, trust me for you and all the members here everything is possible.
