Good evening lovely people. I hope your journey has been a fruitful one today. Thank you to all those who have replied to all my previous posts and also read my blog. I hope reading it has helped you as much as writing it has helped me.
Hope you've had your flu jab? Yes if our days are full of "no no etc" then I think we are more likely to go rather stir crazy as it were. (That's probably linked into why teaching in certain places can be so depressing if pupils are hard to manage and it feels one is always having to rein things in? Have you ever read DH Lawrence's poems on his contrasting experiences as a teacher?
"When will the bell ring, and end this weariness?
How long have they tugged the leash, and strained apart
My pack of unruly hounds..."
as opposed to:
"Then back in a swift, bright flutter to work;
Each one darting away with his
Discovery, like birds that steal and flee." !)
You'll find other WL members on here (in Daily Diary and Weigh-Ins)face similar issues to you,there are other teachers on the Forum. If you can chip in by replying to a couple of people (especially new ones?) that would be great, encouraging others and feeling the support received yourself too......all best
The one describing a hard day is brilliant,the positive one sounds rather odd to modern ears but the reason I quoted 'em is that they reflect how one's perspective can shift which,when we're in the moment,doesn't seem likely
