Gaining Weight over Christmas and now New Year

Hi all I'm in my 60s and am type 2 diabetic.Run up to christmas gas been hard going .I seem to be drinking a fair bit of win,and snacking on all things good.Iam 6 ft 3 and 18st 7.Feeling really stodgy help.

Hi, Staffizzy , welcome.

I was in my 60s and 19 Stone 4lb, (and 6 ft 3") when I joined here.

I gained a little over Christmas, but I have already lost it.

If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.

Some of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
