In the past 6 months or so I have gained 4-5kg that I am struggling to shift. Usually, my weight fluctuates a bit and I am not terribly worried that it has a massive implication on my health but I am really struggling to lose it. I've previously really enjoyed long-distance running and this has made it much more difficult- this is something I would like to get back. Would like to lose the weight and run a half marathon this summer at a faster time than last summer!

Hi rach689, welcome to this lovely community. As already said the best way to enjoy these pages is to participate as much as possible.
By contributing to the Daily Diary you have to put your plans in writing.
By taking part in a weekly weigh in you become part of a team. I'm a member of Tuesday Trimmers! It's fun and it's do-able.
Give it your best.🍀👍xx
Hi, rach689 , welcome.
If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.
Some of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
