Well, theses guys are on the opposite of a weight loss journey... they’ve grown a lot since my last picture! They’re doing really well and have started running to my mother-in-law when she visits and responding to their names. The boy has the white striped head in the foreground and my daughter called him Simba... his sister there was called Poppy by my wife, partially because their older sister from a previous litter is my mother-in-law’s female, Daisy, so we kept a flower theme for the girls.

Going to visit either this weekend or the one after... then next visit they can come home. I’m sure they will be spoiled rotten, I have a very excited teenager who currently will do absolutely anything to help (I’m sure that bit will go as soon as the dogs arrive!)

They are gorgeous- looking forward to watching them grow as we all aim to shrink a little!! 😂

They’ll no doubt keep me from sitting too long at a time while being trained too, that’ll help!

Yeah... we got a surprise, which is probably because we don’t get to see them every day. Just over two weeks old now.

So adorable! Brought my boy home at 13ibs now he is 75lbs. Doing a good job of walking me. Glad you have young ones to help train. They'll treasure staying together.

Yeah, figured they’d be better with each other... of course that means one of them needs the snip.

They'll take turns. We thought of 2 but I do not weight much and just one is strong. He is a Chesepeale Bay Ret. he'll weight in at around 90lbs healthy. He is our third. How big will yours grow?

UnfitNoMore profile image

Yeah, I wouldn’t fancy 180lbs of working dog pulling me!

These max out at about 13lbs each.

LOL- I would be in flight! This one gets me close. Would love a small dog but Cheesie's naturally develop tendoncy for detecting seizures and diabetic condtions. We wanted him for the seizure assept. I wear a diabetic unit that tells your insulin level. It takes a dog that has the gift. Time will tell our relation and bond has to deepen. Puppyhood has to pass he needs to get serious. At what age did they let you bring them home? My husband flew from work in TX home pack all his things got on a 2AM flight to FL drove 3hours to the breeder. Packed him up had to make a flight change his normal airlines will not fly them at 10 weeks, which is late and he was already pushing weight limit at 13 ibs for under seat. I think they thought he was so adorable they did not weight him. He said others were, at least you have to take them out of the carrier. Remember if you fly notify them you have a dog and weight only so many dogs are allowed per flight. Lot's of reg's shots current. Enjoy those bundles!

I don’t have them yet... they’ll be 9 weeks when they come home, but could come after 6. Only a 90 minute drive each way for me, so no need to have them weighed in fortunately. You’ll soon build the bond.. puppy will take a wee bit longer, but it’ll be great that the dog can help you.

Shocking 6 weeks! FL law will not release until 10 weeks coming from a breeder. We live in OH, my husband works for a coming out of TX. Works well for bonding durning the week.I've own alot of dogs and this our 3 rd Cheseapke Bay Ret. He is a very calm boy for 6 months just very strong. Had a private trainer she had surgery after we started and we have not been able to find another seizure trainer, they are very specialized. Mostly going back to it's dog dependent. Though they need OB training fast because of certain issues and things required if I need help, and safety for EM's staff. You must be so excited and the house full of toys. We had 2 crates one for downstairs and one for the bedroom. Gates for area's to block off for play time when we were with him. He has more beds then you can dream did find one on AMAZON byFriends Forever we got a Med would work well for your 2. It's all hairy he fell in love with it day one and still today curls the best he can. We are going to buy him the largest we can, will require a laundry map trip. I have an extra large dryer the bed is best suited for that dropped in with a tennis ball. I've washed many a dog bed.

Going round the house looking for doggy hazards is fun... wires have been my biggest issue, but nothing I can’t sort out and probably should have done years ago to be honest.

Yeah, 6 weeks is about the minimum, but I’d prefer the 9 and the breeder is a relative so no worries there... only the daughter is an issue 🤣

LOL! Sure the weeks have seemed endless for her. She will have so many cuddles when they come home she'll forget the time she did not see them. Our breeders were wonderful of posting photo's and video's from birth until we all could pick them up. Litter of 12! The later to be with mom and litter mates the better.

Have you heard of Bitter Apple it's a taste deterrent for puppies and dogs. Claims for skin care like biting and chewing best thing I've ever used on is wood work, chairs, anything they are attracted to chew on. Non-toxic but does wash off so must be reaplied every once and a while if chair or wood table. Once they discover you use the item and wiring is a issue it will only take a few times licking.

Your lucky with two together we almost bought a second but would not coorinade with develping a seizure dog. maybe some day when a get a small breed.
