So Sunday’s mean an early start for me 04.30 my alarm goes off!
I’m up and off to work! I’m a chef and I do the breakfast shift!
Fast paced but I have a giggle I have my music on and smile on my face!
Slow and steady with a who load of mindfulness!

Hello and welcome Stargazer101 - you have my full admiration, not just for the very early morning, but at working in such a fast-paced environment where you are on your feet for so many hours!
What are you hoping to achieve with your weight loss and lifestyle changes?
Whatever support you need or questions that you have, please do ask as there are loads of lovely people here all willing to help.
Perhaps you might want to join in one of the weekly weigh ins? I am hosting tomorrows (Monday Mass Movers). The idea is to log in to the thread on a weekly basis, share your progress and give support and encouragement to others on the thread.
Thank you x I’m having an operation to rebuild my ankle with pins and wire soon and really want to loose or maintain while I’m off. Being on crutches and dragging my butt about isn’t gonna be fun!
This will be my second op on my ankle the first one failed.
I love my job at the moment I only do 12 hours a week. Because of the ankle. I’m on silly amount of painkillers but I’m hopeful for a decent recovery!
Feeling positive today 🤪
You will have IndigoBlue61 's sympathy as she has had ankle surgery this year.
You're always welcome for a chat about anything non-food at the What's Happening Today? thread. You'll find it in Events, with the weigh ins and Daily Diary
Ouch Stargazer101 - you have my sympathy! I had an ankle fusion in 2005 (following car crash and smashed ankle in 2002) - they basically take apart the ankle joint, scrape out the cartilage, and then bolt it all back together with screws and plates. It was supposed to get rid of pain... but sadly I still get a lot of pain and swelling.
The fusion surgery and recovery was worse than my original broken ankle!
The difficulty with ankles is that we need them to walk and we put all of our weight through them.
I do hope that your ankle surgery is a success... perhaps you can use your skills to try and prepare and freeze some health meals for when you aren't able to get about?
Sounds brill to me PS comment made before reading the others ... I was instantly impressed by positive attitude .... so please keep it going in the face of adversity!
Having read other messages I see your having a ( 2nd) op so hope it goes well. I had a lovely encounter with a chef today and will definitely be back there again. A group of friends and I go out every Sunday cheaper than cooking for one at home and have company and try different places out and this is going on our favourites list.
