Hi, Dickerson , welcome.
I was 19½ Stone, disabled for five years and have lost 4½ Stone.
I lost stone or two while I was disabled.
Many of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Eating All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF). See:
Hi are you joining our weigh in today? You can find it under "Events".
Would you also like to join our Christmas Challenge? Here's the link to tell you all about it, hope to see you there! x
Hi John and welcome What type of exercise are you trying? if you can't stick to it for more than a few days I would suggest its not right for you.
I can't do exercise much other than walking as I had a stroke and my balance isn't back to 100% but walking isn't a problem. I bought a cheap pedometer and keep daily and weekly track and try to do more each week. I don't have a smart phone but listening to the radio on my "old"Nokia with headphones makes a daily walk more enjoyable LOL.
Just remember any weight loss will help your health, my being overweight was a major part of why I was ill, I wish you the best of luck with goal x
It's so hard isn't it. But you've taken the first step. Good luck.
