Hi all, 1st time using any sort of forum...go me.

Recently diagnosed with diabetes type 2 and managed to get that under control but now put weight back on due the fat content in all the sugar free biscuits etc and eating lots of healthy(ish) crisps.

Just got blood results back now have to see g.p about high cholesterol 6.1 was 5.4 .

Really want to avoid medication of any kind so head down, mouth more closed n knees going like the clappers.....any more advise from any of you would be great.thanks.

Hi and welcome, Ukey :)

We had a similar post recently healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh... and this healthunlocked.com/lchf-die...

The problem isn't the fat, it's the carbohydrates you're consuming. There's plenty of information on the internet and I suggest you do your own research.

Ask Dr if you can see dietician, and also if that's your overall count as 2 types of cholesterol and one worse than other and it depends on what that is

That's great advice.i have been doing reading on it but alas can be quite confusing but will ask for breakdown. Thanks.

It can be, it is a rise from last time but the test looks at last 3 months so breakdown more important
