I've almost done it.

5 months ago I weighed 15 stone 15lbs. Today I weigh 13 stone 6lbs. I'm 54 years old. I joined a gym and committed myself to a healthy diet. I've completely changed my body shape but still need to lose another 7lb to reach my goal. I feel so much healthier, I've developed some impressive muscles and love the way I feel. Before I lost the weight I looked awful, now I think nothing of taking my shirt off and sunbathing. I just wanted to say to anyone that is here looking to change the way they look, you can do it. Just commit, and mean it. You've got this.

What an inspirational post for us all - I re-read the numbers (weight loss vs time taken) don’t under estimate the effort you must have put in but wow (willpower over weight!)

Thank you. I won't say it was easy because it wasn't. I found the first month the hardest as I struggled with hunger. After the first month it was like something switched in my brain and I found being hungry much easier to handle, if fact, I stopped feeling hungry most of the time. Thank you for such a lovely post. Best of luck :)

When those changes happen inside your head Topcatiow - the way that you think about food and eating it - not seeing your weight loss journey as some kind of punishment but instead, something to be embraced... the whole thing becomes so much easier!

Wonderful to hear such good and positive words - I have gained 2 stone and hate the way I look - I do exercise but find the hunger hard to cope with. You have given me renewed determination - thank you Topcatiow🙏

Thank you. I know you've probably heard this before, but trust me, I was the laziest, unhealthiest person I know. I did it. By definition, it really is a case of, if I can do it, anyone can. Just get yourself into the right mindset and change priorities mentally. Swop being putting of by hunger your priority with 'I will change my body shape'. Visualise what you 'could' look like and keep that image in mind every time you are tempted. We live a long time, what's a few months out of a lifetime. You CAN do it. This was my mindset. I wanted change more than I wanted carbs.
