Day one and I am afraid I won’t stay on track. Had my salad but now cooking for DS and DH.. the house smells soo good. Hopefully I can post tomorrow that I stayed strong

Is it not possible to cook and eat with your DS and OH? I had a lovely chicken breast fillet with a creamy mustard and tarragon sauce with mashed swede and carrot and peas. All less than 450 calories.

I would never manage that! I just have a small portion of our family dinner and lots of veg. Careful not to set yourself up to fail !

You have a calorie allowance for each day. It is really important that you eat food which you enjoy and satisfies you. If you don't, you are setting yourself up for failure. As others have said here, it is possible to eat with your family using portion control. Eating salads can be very enjoyable and filling because there is so much you can have in a salad but don't eat them if you don't enjoy them. This change in eating is not meant to be a punishment and it really needs to be a healthier lifestyle change for the future. For it to last, it must be something which you enjoy. I wish you well on your weight loss journey.
