Does anyone have a fitbit? Are they worth it?
Fitbit: Does anyone have a fitbit? Are... - Weight Loss Support

Totally worth it! Literally changed my life from couch potato to active every day! I'm a little bit obsessed with mine...
I must admit I love mine! I like how it not only shows steps but how much sleep I'm getting ( never enough with a wee one 😉) and reminds me to get up by vibrating if i have been sitting still for too long!!
Thanks... ordered one hope it helps!
I have the Apple Watch 4… they are expensive but great.
Not worth it i can’t remember what it was but either they counted as if you burned more calories than you were or something else but it gave you a false info and you end up eating more.... unless you ignore the calories and just focus on steps then is fine
I agree with chums here, except that I've always used my phone's fitness app, and while you are choosing the right fitbit for you, you may want to check whether or not your phone has a free health and fitness app which records steps, not calories. It's not going to be as sophisticated as a fitbit but it does for me and has kept me active for most of the last three years, when I have been fit enough to walk daily. It also tells you off when you're having a lazy period. Priceless, and I do agree, life-changing. BB x
I love my Fitbit, tells me to get off my backside and get active,
Yes they are worth it
Very good luck
I've not got Fitbit as such but cheaper version.. helping me no end.. if I've sat too long.. and I was really surprised at how many steps I actually do now.. I very rarely take notice of the amount of calories it says I've burned as think my current calorie intake is more than ample...☺️☺️
I'm with you on, Bintheredonethat (love this tag name - did make me laugh) this re walking rather than calorie counting. What really shocked me when I started using my app was how FEW steps I was taking day after day, especially in winter. Some days, when I was toddling round my little flat in Kent when I lived there, I was doing a few hundred at the most. Shocking, even for someone of my age. Same with my water intake, which was practically non-existent. It's amazing what a little helpful monitoring can do!
p.s. loved your pic of pooches. No doubt they help a lot in getting you out and about. Don't think my Fat Cat Bob is going to help me in the same way... B x
A year ago my kids used to take the pooches out as I just physically do it now I walk between 2.5 - 4 miles a day with them even if I walk around the local park perimeter 4-5 times .. but love my walks over the South downs especially.. got to do Extra walking this coming week as my foster daughter cooked an amazing roast today (totally stuffed now) and my daughter was working today so we're having a mothering Monday tomorrow while both my foster children are in school..... out for lunch and bit of retail therapy I believe is our day tomorrow 😂
That all sounds great, though. We all need fun in our lives while we address the challenges. I bet most of the roast dinner you had today was actually very good for you. I say this partly cos it's true and partly because I've just got myself outside a lunch of roast duck, red cabbage n'potato dumplings. This is the kind of food Berliners look on as serious grub but most of them are not seriously overweight and that's because they do a lot of walking round here - lots of forest and lakes.
I'd rather walk and jiggle about if it gives me permission for those lovely things we eat and drink, so goodonya, say I.
The South Downs are so beautiful. I used to live near North Downs but the South ones were a holiday favourite. Enjoy. x
Yes definitely imo. Love the fitbit
