I have changed my diet and have lost 20lbs. Despite lots of fibre I’m still constipated ! Any ideas?

I’ll try! Thanks
I find taking magnesium tablets works well. 2 x 375mg per day. Bought from a well known high street chemist. Not sure how they work, think perhaps they improve the peristalsis of the bowel to help push everything through, so lots of water is a must too. Good luck!
Good morning, Denbigh55, and welcome to the forum 😊
I'd agree with Happyjo, plenty of water. If you've increased your fibre considerably and don't start seeing some improvement, it may be worth going to your GP.

My first thought as well: the more fiber I eat the more water my body needs to expel it effortlessly. Also make sure to not reduce your fat intake by too much or things will get stuck.
My dad used to drink a glass of hot water first thing in the morning - he swore by it. I do the same, plus I have a small tumbler of water just before every meal. Never had a problem with that regime.
