Hi everybody. Eight months since the surgery. Any one need information on post recovery, I am only too happy to help. Myself, well recovery has gone well but not without it's hiccupps. My wife, family and my doctor. Without them I would not be where I am now.
Have just signed up for the NHS 12 week weight loss programme. As you can imagine it is not so easy to get up and running after an operation like this, as a result I sank into deep depression and I am now on Mirtazapine. This medication has resolved the depression side BUT I have piled on the weight to a dangerous level as a result of the side effects of the drug.
Conclusion. I will get back to normal. I am so thankful to the NHS for getting me through the dark days and not being judge and jury.
So, hang on in there.
John
