Hi I've only just signed up, I currently need to lose 2st. I have a big problem with binge eating, I'm not 100% sure what started it off if I'm honest, I think maybe it's related to the fact I suffer from a severe panic disorder and agoraphobia I find it extremely difficult to leave my home. I am also ashamed to say that I haven't got a whole lot of will power and yoyo between dieting and binging, it's got so out of control now π I've put on a stone in the last 6 weeks. Has anyone got any tips for exercises I can do at home, and any tips for sticking to a diet. I can't even look at myself in mirrors any more and it's affecting my relationship with my partner because I have zero confidence.

Binge eating newbie
Hi and welcome, NolaRose91
When I first joined this community, I was agoraphobic and depressed. I assumed my binge eating was down to my lack of willpower and that I was a failure. I read a post that made me rethink my mindset and whilst it refers to the mature, it applies to all. There are certain foods that affect our bodies in such a way, as to make it almost impossible to resist the urge to eat more, even to the point of pain and sickness. Remove those foods from your diet and the urge to binge will go. healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

Youre not the only one that struggles with will power!
I find when i plan meals a week in advance that i stick to it better and factor in the snacks too so that i dont feel bad for going off piste!
I sometimes use an app called seven - it gives a 7 min workout that you dont need fancy equipment for !
Good luck x
Hi NolaRose and welcome. Have you spoken to your gp regarding your panic attacks/agoraphobia he can maybe organise some counselling or recommend some coping techniques that would divert your attention away from food. It's not easy to break the pattern you are in but it can be done and with the right techniques you will do it xx

Welcome and enjoy the forum...
The only way I was able to break the cycle of comfort eating was to be aware of what I was doing and use distractions to keep me away from the nibbles! I hope you can find what will work for you...
