Hi I'm 39 and 16 stone 3lbs I have recently had an ablation as have AF and need to change my lifestyle especially my diet as dont think this excess weight is helping my heart just need some advise on where to start really?

Try cutting down on sugar and carbs you may be surprised how much you loose in your first weigh in it will also show doctors you are serious about your health Gail

Hi aharris and welcome. I started by getting rid of as much sugar and carbs from my diet as I could. Now trying to allow myself to increase the healthy fat content. Take one day at a time but joining here is a fabulous start. You'll get loads of hints, tips and support xx
