Hi Sweetie70.

Firstly 1am is not a good time to want to be motivated! Even if you are a night owl it’s not a good time to do an hour exercise.

From what you post you have bought countless exercise equipment but do you have the space for all of this stuff to be in a room and used? Can you and your partner be in the same room and workout together? If not then maybe this stuff is not due the effort needed to use it and put it away again?

Maybe it is time to get a buddy, a friend who will commit 1 or 2 days a week to going for a walk or doing a yoga class? Start off with something you CAN do and then work towards the things you want to do.

I have some of the same conditions, but fibro and CFS reduce my energy levels to zero very quickly so I don't have a roomful of exercise equipment - just a foot exerciser under my desk.

Extra Itchy skin could be caused by fibro or be a reaction to fibro meds, or a side effect of the menopause (formication) - I hope you've asked your doctor about it. Restless legs is associated with fibro, and my fibro drug (pregabalin) has reduced this, and the itching, and so improved my sleep.

I really support the recommendation to consider the impact of sugar - going low carb has really helped my symptoms.

I was diagnosed as diabetic in May, and decided to do diet control instead of adding in more meds. I started on 100g carbs a day, then down to 90g, now a maximum of 85g a day. I signed up for the Diabetes.uk lowcarbprogram (a one-off fee, although you can now get this 'prescribed' by the NHS in England if your GP agrees), and I use their food diary to monitor my carbs and other nutrition every day. They also have loads of recipe ideas and information, plus expert support.

I've tried so many diets in the past, but low carb works well for me - and even the sweet cravings aren't as bad as I expected.
