I am nearly 70 , and I am disabled, so I cannot exercise.
It sounds very similar to my diet... but I eat Age Concern lunches three days a week, and have a pub carvery (with as many vegetables as I can get on the plate) on Sunday.
I think it is better to miss supper than lunch ...or just eat an apple, orange and a banana for tea/supper.
You need energy during the day, and energy eaten in the evening is more likely to be stored as fat.
I aimed to lose two pounds a week in the hot weather- and lost a stone at two pounds a week.
I am now losing one pound a week.
When you have lost the initial half stone or so of gut-fill and fluid, you need to adjust your rules to give a weight loss of one, or, at the most, two pounds a week... and relax the rules a bit when you have got down to your target weight for the week.
Members of the forum here told me that they thought that I was not eating enough.
That sounds like good advice. I too am struggling to eat more, my appetite has reduced quite a bit and I am wary of eating so much that I get nauseous! I will continue to try and eat more and use your advice about the fruit for supper/dinner with the extra calories earlier in the day. Your weight loss is spot on!
