Well, last weekend I was thoroughly fed up with the whole weight loss thing, fell off the wagon and put on a pound. I received encouragement here and decided to be strict with myself! As it is cooler I decided to wear jeans that I was struggling to get into. Ithey fit me perfectly now! What’s more, my belt is now on another notch smaller, so I weighed myself and have lost that pound and a bit more. Enthusiasm returns! Thanks guys! Btw I do things slightly differently. I only have 100 calories max at breakfast and 300 calories for lunch. Then I enjoy a healthy dinner and then a loc calorie treat and glass of milk for supper. I am not a morning person and, despite best evidence, a hearty breakfast is something I just can’t face!

Well done Twiggynot, I’m so pleased the forum has been useful 😊

Ps I’m not a big fan of breakfast either!! We each do what works for us

That's good to hear :)

A hearty breakfast isn't for everyone. As long as you can get your full calorie allowance into the day, you balance it as suits you. You'll have had 400 cals between breakfast and lunch. Just wondering what your calorie target is. Would it be around 1700? If so, you'll need to get around 1300 cals in in the evening

My daily calorie target is 1200 - half way between the nhs suggestion and another one I found on line. For dinner we have meat or fish with lots of vegetables and the fresh fruit with either low fat ice cream of low fat yoghurt ( have to add a bit of sugar to the yoghurt) followed by coffee. For supper I have a weight watchers bar and a glass of milk.

Thanks for this. It seems I have been doing it wrong and probably why my weight loss is slowing down. . Food for thought - literally!

That's what I was thinking, as you've done really well, then ground to a halt. Anyway, I hope you find a way to get things moving :)
