I've just found this site and wanted to say hello to everyone I'm in serious need of getting fitter and healthier and thought what better a way than a forum to make new friends in the same boat. Im due to start my odp degree next month so that's what has given me a kick up the backside to change my habits now. I want to be an advocate for the NHS and I want to practice what I will be preaching and be healthy!
I have around 4st to loose and today is the start of my journey!

Hi kat welcome to the forum. You’ve been sent some good advice already in the links moreless sent you, my advice is read them/ use them as they will help you on your way around the site and with your weightloss too. Use the bmi calculator to work out the range of calories that you can have per day (usually around a 400kcal difference) and stay nearer the upper figure as this will help you not feel hungry plus you will still lose weight.
Join in with some of the different topics that are on here like the daily diary where people post what they are planning to eat for the following day, the daily weekly weigh in groups where you will get support from them as you go on this journey.
Join in with the site as much as you want to, join in with the site as it will help you achieve your goals.
Everyone on here are really nice and friendly so ask any questions you have as someone will help you.

Thanks guys all advice noted and I'll have a proper look around the site I think. Heading to the gym later for a swim and will hop on their scales.........think I'm in for a shock there lol 😂
Ok guys hope everyone has had a good few days and welcome to all the other newbie's! Last Thursday I hoped on the gym scales and I weighed 16 stone 4 . The last week I have been more aware of what I have been eating however I think I need to get much more organised to limit last minute snacking! Hoping the scales will be nice to me this Thursday and maybe will have lost a lb or 2! X
