Cut down carbs this week and increased fat to see if it would kick start weight loss. Got full fat natural yogurt instead of low fat natural Greek yogurt. Surprised that full fat has nearly two grams more sugar content.
Increased exercise so very down that scales show another increase of two pounds

Sorry you struggling with those blooming scales this week 😕
How are you feeling health wise? You had an IBS flare up earlier didn’t you? Maybe it’s time to forget the scales for a while and focus on eating for good health?
Hi Smiffyliz I feel for you.It must be hard to keep going when the scales are not cooperating. The important thing is not to give up because there is a solution to this, it's just a question of finding it. Hope you don't mind me asking, but are you counting the calories in absolutely everything that you are eating and drinking both at home and out of the house? Are you within your NHS suggested calorie range each week? Do you have much left to lose?
For me, losing weight is all about eating the correct things in the correct quantities and not over-complicating things. I do a lot of outdoor exercise, particularly in the warmer months because I enjoy it and I hope this will help me maintain a fit and healthy body and mind. However, I would never exercise merely to help weight-loss as I find it increases my appetite. I have had to learn to say no to the Biscuits at Badminton, the Cakes after Canoeing and the Crisps/Chips after Kayaking.
Yes I do count calories and was advised on this site to increase to 1400 whereas mfp said 1200. So I started on full fat yogurt to increase calories but it does have higher sugar content. I know from experience I put on at over 1200 but was willing to give it a go. Has been difficult since my husband died but have got back to counting. I have about half a stone to lose. Could do to go under 10st but as I have large bust and size 12 trousers I find it hard. Am 73 and have permanent torn tendons in hip so 3 miles flat walking is about my limit
Hi Smiffyliz Thanks for sharing this information. Obviously, you know the weight you feel best at and I don't want to dissuade you from trying for this if your heart is set on it. However, I'm wondering if you are now the weight you are meant to be. Size 12 trousers could never be described as fat in the real world. Unless you are well under 5 foot, it doesn't sound to me as if you are at a weight that is going to be detrimental to your health in any significant way.I'm inclined to agree with IndigoBlue61 that maybe the best approach is to forget weight loss for now and just continue to eat healthy foods, and above all to eat foods that you enjoy. You sound as if you know the quantities to eat to maintain your weight (with natural fluctuations).
As for exercise, 3 miles flat is magnificent, the vast majority of people in UK of whatever age never walk anything like 3 miles.
These are just my thoughts. Feel free to ignore everything I've said if you think I've got it completely wrong. For the record, I've got 6 lbs left to lose to take me to the middle of my "healthy BMI range". I'm totally focussed on this, but it is so irrational. I know I am at a healthy weight now. My body is designed to be chunky and I'm starting to miss the padding under my butt when I sit on hard surfaces. Luckily for me, I'm still losing weight steadily, but if my weight loss does grind to a halt before I reach my "goal" weight, I hope I have the wisdom to take my own advice and not keep chasing an unattainable weight.
Thanks Cressid. I feel if I can get to 10..3 I will be happy. It is my large bust that weighs so heavy and I am above BMI. I will keep with my Slimming World plan and hopefully see a few more lbs come off. I have put on this week
