I have MS and as I’ve become less mobile I’ve piled on the weight. My Bmi is 39.
I’ve asked my GP but he says in the grand scheme of things I’ve bigger things to worry about?!
So I’ve printed off my 12wk plan and will try myself.

Good luck with your first week.
Not a very helpful response from your GP Tiggywinkle15 . If you look at previous posts today, you'll see there's one from Hidden linked to a piece about the lack of information about nutrition in medical students' training.
Take your time finding your way around the forum, following the link YellowRose has given you, then get involved in whatever takes your fancy - the more you do, the more you'll get out of it.
Good luck
Hello Tiggy.
I have early stage MS and piled on the kgs.
I used to be slim and trim until my symptoms made me slow down but I forgot to slow down the eating 😎
I have recently lost 25kg, am back to be being my active teenage weight but without the actual activeness....
You don't need to exercise to lose weight but you do need to be diligent. Admittedly I used to be trim before my MS symptoms started.
But being inactive meant I couldn't keep eating and drinking as before.
The lovely forum here has taught me how to enjoy food again without the large amount of calories.
You can do it too!
Good luck,
Thanks everyone.
My chart is on the fridge. I have the app too but I think seeing it in black and white helps me more.
I was very active before the ms and used to hillwalk and climb and was a full time teacher so on my feet all day. Carried on eating for that lifestyle 😕
My head is in the right place right now to lose weight and I really don’t want diabetes or high bp etc on top of the ms
I was always one of those annoying people who could anything and stay a nice slim trim 10 so the whole diet thing I struggle with
Hubby is type 1 diabetic and a fussy bugger and daughter is vegetarian so any pointers for veggie recipes would be great!
Thanks again
