Good morning all! How is everyone?. This is my first time on here, so I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right place. I am currently weighing 17st 4lb and want to lose 6st 11lb. I have tried over and over again to lose weight and when I lose some I end up putting It back on plus more. Its my 30th birthday in 6 months and I feel as If I am old, I've got 3 children and find it hard to play with them because I get out of breath so easily and my legs hurt. I am determined to stick to it this time thats why I'm on here to get some help and support from you lovely people ☺. Has anyone got any advice on how to keep busy or mini workouts to do through out the day?. I am at home all day with a 2 year old.

Hello Jade121 and welcome. I see Minniewinny has given you links to some exercise ideas and also to the rest of the forum, so take your time to find your way around.

You have a great incentive for losing weight and developing a healthy lifestyle, with three little ones and all their demands, plus a big birthday coming up. My tips would be a) don't be in a rush (the extra weight has taken its time to build up and will take time to go) and b) put the big numbers to the back of your mind and set yourself mini-goals, maybe your first 7lbs to start with, and, as you lose weight, focus on your success (including non-scales victories such as having more energy or being more comfortable in your clothes) not how much you still have to lose.

You can make a real difference to your health, your appearance and your confidence in 6 months. Come and use the forum when it's going well and when you're struggling. You'll find so many inspirational stories, as well as people finding it a challenge. You'll get support and you can share your support with others.

If you want to involve the children, Change4life has ideas that might help nhs.uk/change4life#10wYHjXA...

Good luck :)

Hi Jade,

I also have a 30th birthday this year! I have two girlies keeping me busy and two jobs, so was also finding out about exercises I can do at home in-between everything or when kids are in bed.

I have been on here for two weeks actively and it’s great to talk to people with the same goals. I found out today I am no longer in the obese category on my BMI, little things like that really make a difference. I still want to lose another 4 stone though to get in the middle of my healthy BMI.

When will your weigh day be?

Hi mummyofgirls, you too have the big one this year! More to keep us focused. Thats great! you are out of obese category shows you are on the right path. Day 1 was yesterday for me, weigh in on mondays. Have you heard of Leslie sansone walk workout? You can find it on youtube. I found that was the best workout for me last year I lost 15lb. Before I put it all back on. I just want some other mini workouts to mix it up. How are you finding lossing weigh so far?. Have you cut out all junk food?.
