Hi Joy, I have just started using this site an intend to use MyFitnessPal to monitor my intake and activity as well and posting in the different section such as the Daily Diary and the Happiness Challenge as well as the weekly weight in. Everyone on this site has the same desires, and needs the same support so it is a great option.

welcome Joy and hello to you! you have found a most wonderful support system in this forum and i think you should hang around! i am not sure how helpful i am personally, i try, but anyway the forum helps. i suggest reading the posts, posting yourself, joining the newbie club and stand back baby! we are all full of what we did and what we do now and we have some great ideas on your new way of eating. i personally lose very slow, 2 pounds a week average and have kept off 18 pounds 2 pounds a week for that long. i use smaller plates and eat lots and lots of veggies. everyone has there own little "secret" that makes losing weight easier. just ask. i live in texas so we eat a lot of meat. i have started making my veggies the large part of my plate and the meat the small part instead of the other way around. it has worked well for me so far.. that is my "secret". but onward and upward! chin up baby, we can do this if we work together!
