Newbie here. Have quite a few stone to lose and was trying the intuitive eating plan however ive been told I have to lose weight for my blood pressure and cholesterol and want to do this so I can avoid medication. I am using MFP which is great and helps me measure salt and fat etc but I just wondered if you all stick to the Calorie range that the BMI calculator on here gives you? The lower number is about 200 more than MFP has suggested. Just wondered how those of you sticking to it are getting on?
Many thanks in advance

We always advice using the NHS BMI calculator for getting your calorie range and for eating as near the top end as you can, while still losing weight. MFP tends to be stingy with its initial allowance, then over generous for activity allowance. The less you start eating, the lower your maintenance allowance will be, because your body will adjust accordingly.
