My video of my weigh In as well as my opinion on exercise and your diet.
104.90kg to 104.25kg Complex as well... - Weight Loss Support
104.90kg to 104.25kg Complex as well as carbohydrates to the MAX!!!
Hi SilverSpeed, Just watched your video and seems that you have found you way to losing weight and feel good with it:). Congrats on losing weight this week and feeling good and stronger with your exercise. I know that you are walking but what other exercises are you doing? I tend to agree with you that its up to the individual to find what works for them. But I think that we are all thinkers and doers. We all think about losing weight, how to do it then put into practise doing it in whatever way works. You said you're not posting because people commented on the sausage roll. Its a pity cos I believe they just thought it was part of your normal diet and didnt realise it was one of those treats of once in awhile and wanted to help. As you said you snack on carrots, cucumber etc. Keep posting your weight loss though Again good job losing
Absolutely brilliant what a great video and a great outlook, we keep hearing that it's not a diet, but I feel that it is a diet and quite a strict one to a lot of members, I have been doing the same as you for 2 years and I've lost 4 St 11lb and I'm really happy with this, I know others have lost a lot more and that's brilliant too I felt that I had to ask myself what are the food's I could do without for life and there wasn't very many so it's all things in moderation and definitely smaller portions
Rosie π
Yep as I said its finding what works for us and thats great that you have lost weight do it in moderation rosie-2015 . I think its true we have to think its not a diet. I tried the calorie counting and did learn a lot but now I am trying to eat smaller and cut certain things out and definitely think a small treat like a sausage roll is okay just not every day. If this doesnt work for me well I look at something else. One thing I do know I need to exercise and think I should seriously start doing some very soon. Actually have a crosstrainer that is gathering dust. Had eye op and was not keen to use it but maybe its time
Hi I haven't explained myself properly, I do count calories lol something I said I'd never do, I couldn't stop even if I wanted to. It's a good job it gets easier as the time goes on and of course mfp stores everything good and bad I'm 65 and have health problems including mobility but with advice I got on here away at the beginning even a few steps here and there help and help with you circulation so it's a win win for me
good luck on your journey
Rosie π
Hey rosie, as we say this is working for your so good on you for doing this
Hi jennilo
Do you mean as you say?? I don't understand your meaning
Sorry rosie what I meant was that some of us find it hard to do the calorie counting, I have tried but seem to get lost all the time and not sure if I am writing down too much or too little. But as you wrote its something you now do all the time and it seems without thinking so I think its great because this is working for you in a very positive way Also, that with encouragement you got here you feel positive with moving more which is great. Hope I didnt insult no intention to do so. Have a great week
Rosie congratulations on your continued effort and loss of weight. What I have noticed is that for myself crisps where always my problem without realising and I haven't had a packet of crisps for over a month now and I do not miss them.
When it comes to strict diets as such I have found you need extreme will power to follow it through for long periods of time.
The only time I have really been on strict diet as such is when I have been competing in a sport at a fairly high level.
If your. Very over weight or very thin and extremely active in a sport is when those strict diets can really help.
I don't knock people who take them on but some times temptation makes them fail and feel rubbish.
Determination to succeed and having these weekly mile posts as I go down and for others really helps so I will continue and post and look forward to other people's efforts too.
I myself just don't find everyones advice helpful but I do welcome it.
Some say it's 20% exercise 80% food I say it's 50/50 and keeping balanced and fit always helps for a healthy life.
Sorry for the long comment. Have a lovely Sunday πππ
Hi, it's not a long comment at all I don't know the ratio of calories /exercise, I'm unable to exercise due to ill health so I struggle with calories but trust me when I look at some of the meals members get away with,,I don't mean your sausage roll or 'empty calories' I mean double cream as an example and a lot of high exotic calorific foods, you can't tell me that exercise isn't helping with the weight loss or like my son maybe hollow legs lol π keep up the good work
Rosie π
Hi Rosie, I used to wonder how other people seemed to eat more than me but I was the one putting on weight. Iβve now found that lower carbs is working well for me, which means after years of self denial Iβm now enjoying double cream again (on strawberries and in coffee - but NOT with anything containing flour or sugar, like cake). But to be able to enjoy butter, cream etc I do have to be very strict in avoiding sugar, and fairly strict with carbohydrates. Swings and roundabouts, but Iβm happy with how itβs working out, and exercise hasnβt featured in my weight loss, although I do try when I can.
Not a long comment @SilverSpeed good comments especially 'keeping balanced and fit...... This is what I mean that I have to give up some things and one of them was crisps. Once I started I thought oh just a handful will do turned into the whole packet and there are other things as well so thats why I need to give up some things and only do a couple of things as treats. But do agree enjoy what you like in moderation and try to incorporate other good things into your eating habits Problem is have to limit the pasta as I love pasta and sometimes one bowl is not enough ahhhh so thats really hard to limit and give up which I am not going to so need to learn to limit;). Good on you too often we dont like some comments that can seen negative but thats when we sift through and listen to what we think will be of benefit and dismiss the others. Have a great week and look forward to your next post and weight loss.
I must admit, I can't bear the old "it's not a diet - don't think of it as a diet" that all these diet clubs come out with.
If something is restrictive in any way and you don't eat how you really want to then it is some form of a diet. But at the end of the day, if we want to lose weight and be healthy then we have to suck it up and give up our bad habits. I hate dieting and exercise but I do it because I want the results (even though I never stick at it long enough!).
At the end of the day I just want to throw a bloody donut at people who say "it's not a diet" because they're just trying to kid themselves. It's just a way of dressing it up to sweeten the pill - pardon the pun.
This is not a dig at anyone at all, actually it is - at the diet industry. It's the same with everything, most good things come at a cost and we have to fight against natural urges all the time - I hate it! LOL
As for your sausage roll, who cares about treats now and again if you're losing weight. You've done load of exercise, worked hard and have lost a lot of weight quickly so I think you deserve a few treats as it's clearly not impeded your amazing weight loss
Thanks crazy vanilla. When it comes too diet... the term is advertised and what everyone thinks is your on a diet to loose weight but also can mean a diet to gain weight the term is well used and people always see it in a certain way and that your only on a diet for a period of time... at the end of the day changing what you eat helps improve your diet depending what you eat
Maybe youβve hit the nail on the head and we do need to be more active.
Concerned that is why just asking what is moderation? is why we have one end to the other of diet books and programs.
Some people don't know what it is and how long for and that is for the individual to make up their own mind or get stuck into a diet which people may find hard too follow and then fail imo.
I like to self self manage myself with a plan and that's why we have goals for some think too achieve.
I have to be open and honest but the closer you get too a healthy weight/ BMI the more the food matters
It all depends on what angle you want to attack the small problems which have lead into literally a big problem.
I just think it's a tad sad that a lot of people go on diets and don't enjoy a cycle ride, a good long walk or maybe a run.
Your body naturally rewards its self when you do activities where as if your on a strict diet then the only reward you get is a number on a computer screen on your scales.
Throw the scales out for a second... some people don't like scales I know it can be done by cutting out certain food or just cutting down. Which can make you feel good so I am told.
But with my back ground from my own body I know being 73kg and fit as a fiddle feels amazing and that's what I want back.
I may not get my young days back but I can get my body back π
Thanks for your comment and informative info.
Haven't watched your video yet. The sound on my work computer is absolute shite lol
I see that jennilou mentioned the sausage roll. Please don't think we were bagging you or anything. We care and we want to see you succeed My apologies if I sounded bossy, but if you want a kick up the bum at any stage feel free to ask for one
The journey is long but my determination is longer. Have a good week concerned π
