Hi everyone
Has anyone any tips on what exercise and diet you can do even though your ill?
I’ve had a virus for 2 weeks which has stopped me in my tracks basically. Went to do and he recommended stay warm with lots of rest. Nice easy when I started an new job on Monday just gone.
First week I could hardly move and this week gone by, I managed to go back to gym but not able to run due to bad cough and wheezing.
Any ideas as I really need to get focused again

I'm not a Dr, but it sounds like a full recovery would be a good idea before trying to increase your exercise, or you may postpone your healing time?
I'm sure there are some on here much better informed than me!,
Wishing you 100% better 💐💐💐

Thank you Minniewinny. I guess I’m just so frustrated that I can’t get back to some routine and I can’t shake this cough etc
My other half is saying get back into the gym to make my body strong so I can beat it. Maybe I will just try rest abit more.

Sounds like a good plan.. our bodies tell us what's needed and if we are struggling and tired.. rest is needed 👍🏻

It's a tough one when you start a new job. I was in the same situation 6 weeks ago. A recurrent cold in a new job.
The best you can do is, what you can. Settling into the job and recovery are going to take priority.
Best of luck.

Yeah it’s awful when you start an new job and your coughing like crazy plus I had laryngitis so my voice was nearly gone fully.
Hopefully i start to feel better this week and then back to business with the exercise and diet

Hi Lori 199,
I personally would not do anything until I was well again.
Take care and get well, then you will soon be on track.

I think I will just go to work this week without the exercise. Fingers crossed I’m over it by the time weekend roles around again.

You will know when youre body is well enough to get back excercising.
If you attempt it too soon it may well take even longer .
Take care .

I haven’t heard of that cure since back home in Ireland. My grandmother used to do that with red lemonade.
It worked as far as I can remember
