This is such a good question as I thought this when I had it last night, I weighed it before and took on those calories! I’ll go do abit of digging and find out!

Apparently according to a times article 230g serving of cooked pasta is about 70g uncooked so 3 and a bit x.

Which I never knew! It also says Asda’s fusilli pasta is 250g when cooked and 100g when uncooked.

I weigh pasta according to the packet - 75g of uncooked is approx 170g cooked = 270cals

This is tricoloured Fusilli pasta (yep I dug out the packet to check ;)

To start with I would weigh it both times as if you don't have enough you can't cook any more. Check out the pack and weigh out the amount it tells you to have of uncooked i.e the pack may say 70g. Once I have it cooked I would re-weigh to check out how many grams it is now so you get the correct calorie information now it is cooked in case it is different to what they say. In the future you will know how many calories it would be. I would then always weigh it dried weight because if you only had a cooked amount of 110g, do you know how many grams this would have been dried to work out what the calories are. I don't think I would.

I just use a mug! Which is approx 100g (dry weight). This method doesn't work for spaghetti though ;)
