Hi and welcome Anudrey well done on losing 1 1/2 but is that lbs or stones?

I would like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out, or re-starting.

If you just post a few words on the October Newbie Club thread to introduce yourself and respond to others there you will soon feel part of the club.

Follow this link to the Newbie club: healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

Please read all the information carefully, it is very useful and can be referred to whenever you want to check something.

It just remains for me to wish you well on your journey

Well done. Have you joined a weigh in so that we can record it?

Good morning all, am calorie counting and I lost just under 2 kilos but now am not loosing anymore..long working hours mean I can't do much exercise except perhaps 1/2 a week..any way I can boost my metabolism to burn more..

Can you sneak exercise in to your normal day. Walking up stairs, getting off bus one stop earlier, parking the car at the far end of the supermarket car park. Just trying to be a little more active? It will all help and give you a dose of those feel good endorphins.

Would love to russet ,but I have a back injury can only manage a short walk,Ido this every day but it is not enough I know and I find the super market trollies are to deep for me to reach in..still losing some weight will help lost 2lb my first week so pleased with that.thanks for replying

How about water aerobics? The water helps support you and takes pressure off your joints. It’s difficult to find ‘your’ exercise when you have health or mobility problems plus time pressures of work. Maybe you have to settle for ‘little and often’ just now but as your weight comes off it might be easier - you may be jogging alongside Sir Mo before you can say knife!!! Good luck and keep the faith!

At. 76 I don't think I will be taking up jogging,but it is a lovely thought .

At 67 I’ve just started yoga!! Not quite the same as pounding the pavements but I know what you mean!!

I would love to be able to do that but I cannot get on the floor or get back up if I'm down ,looks like a basking whale stranded.

And I’ve discovered that I can’t balance on one leg - let alone extend the other one behind me and lean forwards- I think it’s called the warrior pose!!
