Randomly brought a steamer. If anyone has tips in steam cooking please share :)

Oh, I love steamers. I do all kinds of veggies and rice in it.

I have looked at them, but left them in the shop ;) as i have no idea how use them

Hope other members that use them post info for you :)

Mine saves me every Christmas when all the rings on the cooker are busy and I put all the veg in the steamer. If you cook a variety of veg together put the things that cook quickest in the top tier.

I don't use mine much - I'm going to follow your thread as I'm sure some of the wonderful cooks on here will come up with great ideas!

I love mine and use 3 times a week. It cooks veg so well and locks in the nutrients rather than them being wasted if boiling in a pot. Rice is also fluffier if steamed, try adding any flavouring to rice while steaming.... paprika, saffron etc or tumeric for colour.

Also add sliced lemon to the top or inside a chicken breast. Yum!
