One day a friend told me "vani , you gain massive weight !" I took that like a hints from some where that says " you better watch what you eat else you will gain the weight back all the weight you lost " !!!!!
Here i'm again , this time i'm sharing my process ,hope others can get some tips and motivation from my story .
Asics , i challenged my self this time wanna see how far i can go ...and be the best version of me ...Remember this " maybe it's hard to start but remember once u start , you will thank yourself in 3 months time "
Love to hear your site of story , do share if you don't mind
Tell your self you can do it ...I DON'T WANT TO GO BACK !
I find that for me to lose weight I have to reduce carbs quite alot, I generally don't eat any starchy carbs such as potato, rice, pasta. Occasionally I'll have a rice cake with my lunch or a breakfast bar (one without added sugar) for breakfast if I'm in a big rush, but other than that all my carbs come from vegetables.
I make homemade soups with lots of different veggies (my fave at the mo is broccoli soup 😆) which are low cal (usually around 150-200 let serving depending on what's in it) which are really filling and will be plenty to fill me up at lunchtime!
I'd recommend my fitness pal for counting calories, you can set your daily goals and keep track of your progress.
As for exercise, I don't know how good a runner you are already as you mention jogging, but maybe you could try couch to 5k podcasts. Over 9 weeks trains you to run 5k in 3 30mins sessions per week.
Thanks for the great tips , i love broccoli too haha .. do you mind sharing your low carbs broccoli soup recipe ..Normally i will just stir fry broccoli with tomato and capsicum , abit chop onion n ginger . 1/5 teaspoon salt and also pepper as much as u like ...
It's really simple, I do it in a soup maker but it's just as easy on the hob. One onion and 1clove garlic, chop up really small and brown in the pan (about 5mins) with about 5mls of oil. Mix up a litre of vegetable stock (I use 2 knorr veg stock pots with 1L boiling water) and add to the onion. Bring pan to the boil. Chop up about 350g of broccoli into quite small florets and add to the pan, you can also use the top bit of the stalk so not to waste 😊. If you like the soup thicker (I do) you can add 50-100g of white beans or lentils. Season to taste, I add various herbs and some salt and pepper. Keep on the boil and simmer for about 30mins. Then just blend to desired consistency with a hand blender. I like it smooth. If you like it creamy you can add a tablespoon of natural yoghurt. I find this makes 3 portions at about 150kcals each (depending on how much of the beans/lentils you add) and it's really filling! I make up batches of soups and keep them in the freezer! 🌸
Brilliant very inspiring!! I have been dieting/exercising for a week now, I've lost 2 pounds. I aim to lose a stone & a half and stories like yours give me lots of encouragement! Well done x
