Introducing myself.

Hiya,

I have found myself standing on the scales recently thinking what happened? when did i get so big? why have I let it get so out of control?

Found myself doing the usual -

joining the gym - check

Buying loads of healthy food - check

Joining weight watchers - check

So far I haven't stepped inside the gym, most of the food went in the bin and of course went to one weigh in class at WW

My weight gain is not only effecting my health but also my marriage now (even though my husband does says all the right things) I see how I look and I know he loves me but hes not blind.

My self esteem and confidence has hit such a low point. I am now scared to make the changes that need to happen in my life because I have let my body get so out of shape.

Welcome hutchy88 so many of us here could have written that check list for you, plenty of people will identify with what you have written. However, so many people will tell you about their amazing journeys and that it is all worthwhile. Small steps and build on them.

I would like to invite you to join our Newbie Club, which we hope will be a good place for you to connect with members, who are also just starting out, or re-starting.

If you just post a few words on the September Newbie Club thread to introduce yourself and respond to others there you will soon feel part of the club.

Follow this link to the Newbie club: healthunlocked.com/nhsweigh...

Please read all the information carefully, it is very useful and can be referred to whenever you want to check something.

It just remains for me to wish you well on your journey.

I feel embarrassed with my husband as well. They love us no matter what but I agree, they are not blind. All you can do is give it your all and see what happens. Good luck to you.

Don't worry about your husband, us men like a bit of meat on the bone! (Spoiler alert, even most of the ones who say they dont really do). Love matters more than shape or wobbliness anyway. Have some confidence in yourself, and good luck 😁
