I so want to make a confession. Today i ate a burger and didn't eat slowly and now my tummy is painful because i eat too much. I want to be committed but my friends at work bring me things i still find hard to resist. They know that i am trying to loose weight but say its just a waste of time. How can i keep being motivated all the time because i have high risk of diabetes, hypertension and heart diseases because my father and aunt, granny have those issues. I feel alot of pressure at time and feel like i could just eat anything and everything

Well, they are probably not your friends then. Surround yourself with positive supportive people and shut out the naysayers.
This is a good place to do the former.
Hi Ndoh have a chat with your friends/work colleagues and explain what you're doing and why, if then they are not supporting you they really have not got your best interests at heart. This would then be the time to distance yourself from the negative people (I've had to do this with a couple of people including a suppose to be best friend) 😢
Don't beat yourself up over one burger, draw a line and get back to it 💪
You can do this and we are here to help
Good luck

Hi Ndoh
I wouldn't feel guilty about eating the burger, it is done now and i would just forget about it.
If they were true friends they would be supporting and encouraging you with your weight loss.
I would try and talk to them and explain to them that you need to lose weight and would appreciate it if they supported you, as at the moment they aren't.
If they are true friends they will respect your wishes and bring you fruit or something else back, instead of burgers.
Good luck
Hi Ndoh
If they are your friends they should understand it's important to you so it is not a waste of time. Maybe see if you can sit down and talk to them and say your finding it hard but they are not helping. Can you work out how many calories were in your burger meal so you can adjust your day to add it in.

Hi Ndoh
You could try suggesting that all snacks be healthy options for everyone for a couple of weeks to see how it goes, if it fits in with work and affordable, try making up a small basket of fruit to share with everyone to start it off. 🌷
